Do you know about the 80/20 rule?
The 80/20 rule was developed hundreds of years ago by an Italian economist named Pareto. What he found was that 20% of an input results in 80% of the output.
In fundraising, 20% of your efforts will result in 80% of your results. Or 20% of your donors will result in 80% of the money you raise.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could just figure out who those 20% are so you could focus your attention on them? It would save you a lot of time wouldn’t it?
Guess what? You can!
More than likely, the 20% of your donors who are providing 80% of your fundraising efforts are your best donors.
Have a look at your donor list and you can probably identify them. Then spend some time getting to know each of them.
You might just see your bottom line go up!
