Sandy’s popular keynote presentation, “The Power of Thinking Big” has been delivered to audiences in the United States and New Zealand. Laced with humor, anecdotes and video, this presentation appeals to a wide audience, helping them think bigger and shift their paradigm about their work.

The Power of Thinking Big -  Have you ever found yourself struggling with parts of fundraising over and over? No matter how hard you work or what you try, you just can’t seem to make any progress? Let Sandy help you understand why you fall short of your fundraising goals and what you can do about it.  Once you learn how to adopt Big Thinking strategies, you’ll feel motivated and ready to go.

Sandy’s other keynote presentation is “Get Fully Funded: How to Raise the Money of Your Dreams.” It’s based on her signature system, and gives audiences insight, inspiration, and motivation to stretch themselves and raise more money.

Get Fully Funded: Are you ready to raise more money so your nonprofit can serve more people? No matter your situation, it can be done. It’s like a family recipe, requiring the right ingredients, attention, and timing.

Secrets of Success in the Small Shop
When you work in a small nonprofit, you wear many hats.  If the burden of fundraising falls on your shoulders alone, it can be difficult to juggle the many activities required to raise money for your mission.  Let Sandy show you how to leverage your time and talent to focus on donor-based fundraising and get the most return for your efforts.  She’ll tell you what you need to focus on and what needs to be let go.  You’ll walk away with a sense of how to manage your resources to get the results you want.

Engage Your Board
Many nonprofit Boards are made up of people with big hearts and little understanding of what it means to sit on a Board.  Let Sandy break it down and make it easy to understand.  This session will cover the 6 basic roles and responsibilities of nonprofits Boards, including how to effectively recruit and keep new members, how to let go of deadwood and trouble makers, and how to get Board members engaged in fundraising.

6 Simple Steps to a Written Fundraising Plan
Many nonprofits struggle to create a fundraising plan and put it in writing, yet the benefits are tremendous.  A written plan shifts you from being reactive and dealing with the crisis of the day to being proactive and working purposefully toward the results you want. In this session, you’ll learn how to follow 6 simple steps to put together a written plan for raising the money you need in the coming year. We’ll cover goal setting (using SMART goals), action plans, and ways to keep your plan on track, plus you’ll get some worksheets and checklists that will make the process easy.

popular conference speakerIf you’re like most people working with a small nonprofit, raising a big chunk of money for a special project, program, or piece of equipment can be a daunting challenge.  You may be puzzled about where to start or how to do it. You’re probably scratching your head over who to approach and how to do it.  And you’re probably wondering what to say to get someone to make a large donation to your organization.  Join us for this interactive session to learn exactly what to do to create and run your first really big fundraising campaign.  You’ll learn how to plan the campaign, the tools and materials you’ll need, and how to find the best people to ask for a gift.  You’ll leave feeling hopeful and more confident about raising big money.

From Awkward to Awesome: The Beginner’s Guide to Building Donor Relationships
If you know you need to be cultivating individual donors, but you’d rather do ANYTHING else, this session is for you! You’ll learn why you may feel uncomfortable at the thought of donor relationships and how to overcome it. You’ll learn a simple method for building relationships on purpose, using a variety of strategies. You’ll leave this session feeling much more confident about making friends for your nonprofit!

How to Create Outrageously Loyal and Generous Donors
Sustainable fundraising is all about donors giving year after year, yet few nonprofits have mastered it. This session will show you how to build relationships that span years and result in happy donors. We’ll cover the keys to a successful relationship including the critical role of proper communication.  You’ll learn how to decide which donors to spend face time with, and how to get to know the rest. “During the summer of 2010, our organization presented a formidable training challenge to AFP. We had made the decision to add fundraising to our appeal to the public to join the national registry. Our field representatives, however, had not had formal fundraising training, nor did they want any or any part of fundraising for that matter.

Enter Sandy. Her so-very-positive style and gracious approach turned a disgruntled and reluctant group into an enthusiastic crowd of fundraising converts. All who attended her sessions said it was the best training they had ever received in the whole of their professional careers.

What Sandy does in training is take people where they are and lead them to a much higher level. Our now-productive fundraisers are raising more money than we originally thought possible, and we owe it to the inspirational and motivational training they received.”
