Founder and Chief Encouragement Officer
Sandy shows passionate nonprofit leaders how to fully fund their big vision, so they can spend their time changing lives instead of worrying about money. For nearly 20 years, she has helped dozens of small nonprofits go from “nickel-and-dime fundraising” to adding 6 or 7 figures to their bottom line. As a trainer, she shows her students how to find ideal donors, connect with them through authentic messaging, and build relationships that stand the test of time, so that fundraising becomes easy and predictable.
Sandy lives on a small farm in rural East Tennessee with 2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 horses, and a couple of miniature donkeys. She volunteers for Project Linus, making quilts for kids in need.
Susan Caldwell, CFRE, CGW
Susan is Get Fully Funded’s resident grant researcher and writer, helping clients raise funds through successful grant applications.
Susan has worked as a nonprofit manager and professional fundraiser for over 23 years. She has an extensive background in grant research, program development, and private and public sector grant writing. Her experience ranges from small family foundations to major federal grants. She is a Certified Grant Writer by the American Grant Writers Association, has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 1997, and serves on the Grant Professionals Association Board of Directors.
Susan practically lives on the computer, sifting through grant opportunities and figuring out strategies that give nonprofits the edge in the grant-seeking world. She loves a challenge and thrives on the passion of nonprofit leaders who are enthusiastic about their cause. Her spare time is devoted to caring for her mother, spoiling her four grandchildren, and snuggling with Lucy, four-pound feisty mix of Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier.
Leah is a seasoned grant professional with over 10 years’ experience and specializes in all things grants: research, proposal and application preparation, submission, administration, compliance, reporting, and funder relations. She’s passionate about generating much-needed resources for nonprofits to help them achieve their missions and positively impact communities.
Most recently, Holt was the Director of Operations for volunteer resource agency, Hands On Nashville. With them, she annually secured and managed $600,000 in foundation, corporate, and government grants that supported diverse programs focused on volunteerism, urban agriculture, youth leadership, residential energy efficiency upgrades in homes owned by low-income residents, collaborative partnerships, and much more. Additionally, she directed an AmeriCorps program and led its members through a year of meaningful service. Last, but not least, she managed the agency’s human resources.
Prior to all of that, as the Director of Research and Grants at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville, she helped fund the construction of 40 new homes, per year. Much of this was accomplished through grants provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Development (HUD) Self-Help Homeowner Opportunity Program (SHOP) and the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Cincinnati’s Affordable Housing Program. On average, she secured no less than $750,000 in grants annually.
During her time in Nashville, Holt served on grant review panels for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville-Davidson County, participated in the local chapter of the Grant Professionals Association, and engaged in professional development opportunities through the well-renowned Center for Nonprofit Management (CNM). She carries a Bachelor’s Degree in General Management and Computer Information Systems from Tusculum College – Tennessee’s oldest institution of higher education.
Holt is a proud native of Detroit, MI and spends most of her spare time on road trip adventures.
