Board Magic Workshop
When all your board members seem to vanish into thin air at fundraising time, you need a special kind of magic. Board Magic!
A little training can go a long way in motivating your Board members to step up, get excited, and focus on moving forward.
This fast paced, interactive half-day retreat focuses on the exact issues your board needs to master. I educate board members on their specific roles and responsibilities so they can better understand their job and are more effective in supporting the staff’s efforts. My games and handouts keep them engaged throughout the workshop and my contagious enthusiasm and passion gets them FIRED up, too.
They’ll hear the real stories of similar nonprofits I’ve worked with, whose board members were inspired to get back on track and do great work.
In the end, they’ll walk away inspired and proud to be a part of your organization with a clear idea of their next steps.
What People are Saying
“Sandy provided an informative, energetic and practical fundraising planning clinic for a very diverse group of organizational teams.
She successfully utilized the diversity of the organizations’ size, mission and fundraising sophistication to help each walk away from the clinic with tangible action steps to implement a successful fundraising plan. Sandy rocks!”
Danielle Clore, Executive Director
Kentucky Nonprofit Network, Lexington, KY
“Nothing can be as dry as a workshop on ethics in fundraising, right?
Our Great Smoky Mountain chapter of AFP found out that is not always the case as Sandy Rees, CFRE recently presented “Walking the Straight and Narrow: How to Master Ethics in Fundraising.” It was not only informative, thought-provoking but also highly entertaining. Who would’ve thought a presentation ethics could be so fun!”
Paul Bowman, President
AFP, Great Smokey Mountains Chapter, Knoxville, TN
“At the Best Friends conference, I was seriously dreading the “board” talk and wishing I could go to a fun animal behavior talk instead.
In the first 2 minutes you changed my mind! You breathed new life into me, and as a result into our organization. When I walked out of that room, I knew I wanted all of our board members to have the Sandy Rees experience! Those attending this year are blessed to have you. Keep up the amazing work!”
Requi Salter, Board Member
Humane Society of Southeast Missouri, Cape Girardeau, MO
“I wanted to tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop you held in Morristown.
You are very talented! You made me think that even “I” (who has always had trouble asking people for money…) might be able to do it!”
Linda Ketner, Office Administrator
HC EXCELL, Morristown, TN
